The Special Collections and University Archives at the Hong Kong Metropolitan University Library ("HKMU Library") is committed to collect and preserve manuscripts, rare books, historical photos and other archival materials, and make them available to the public for research and scholarship purposes. The collections include unique, rare, and/or fragile items that require specialized conservation techniques and meticulous handling to ensure their long-term preservation.
To ensure the integrity of our collections and maintain a conducive research environment, each researcher is required to register with the HKMU Library for each distinct research project. Upon each visit, researchers must provide valid identification and register at the service counter of Stanley Ho Library. Researchers are obligated to review and acknowledge, by signature, their understanding and acceptance of the "Guidelines for Using Special Collections and University Archives Materials at the Hong Kong Metropolitan University Library."
